I credit my success as a college prep tutor entirely on the universities where my students currently attend. My 2020 class of students are now attending Brown University, Amherst, USC, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSB, University of Chicago, Bard College, Barnard College, NYU, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Michigan, Wisconsin, Oregon, Indiana, Emerson, Boston University, Tulane, Arizona, Lewis & Clark, Pitzer, Carleton College, Berklee College of Music and Carnegie Mellon.
There is a specific mindset when it comes to standardized tests and college entrance exams. I have spent years mastering a way of teaching this technique in a specific and detailed way, tailor made to fit each individual student's unique learning style. When dealing with a test given to every high school junior/senior preparing for college, it is important to remember that although the test is the same for every student, each student has their own unique way of processing information. I work with your student to help them solidify the areas of the test where they are strongest, while also teaching them valuable (and sometimes missing) elements in their knowledge of mathematics, science, reading comprehension and grammar usage which are at the root of low test scores. My goal with each student is to enable them to achieve their potential while taking control of their own future in a productive environment geared to a course of study that will not only help them succeed on their standardized tests but also prepare them for their college years.

"We were so fortunate to find Jordan to tutor our son. He is a "Straight A's" students but his testing skills were not up to the SAT's demands. Jordan found his strengths and found the areas that needed work. Our son's SAT score went up 260 points after training with Jordan. That was an AMAZING feat and it is ALL due to Jordan. We had trained with 3 other SAT prep companies, but only Jordan was able to make the difference. Our son was accepted to 10 different universities with scholarships to 3 of them!
